Zwaluw Den Braven Aqua-Silicone for fresh and salt water aquaria

Zwaluw Den Braven Aqua-Silicone is an acetoxy silicone sealant which cures by reacting to moisture to form a durable elastic rubber

Benefits:

• Sealant and adhesive
• Non toxic for fish when fully cured
• For fresh and sea water aquaria

Limitations:

• Not suitable for PE, PP, PC, PMMA, PTFE, soft plastics, neoprene and bituminous substrates
• Not suitable for aquaria larger than 1000 liters and/or higher than 60cm
• When gluing glass to glass miniscule air bubbles may still be visible after curing

Applications:

• Zwaluw Aqua-Silicone was specifically developed for bonding and sealing full glass constructions as aquaria, terraria and showcases
• This product has excellent adhesion to glass
• For selecting the glass thickness of the aquarium we refer to DIN 32622
• This product is not harmful for aquatic after curing

Directions Of Use:

• A joint thickness between the sides and between the sides and the bottom, 1 to 2 mm is advised
• Finish internal angles as a triangular joint of 3 to 5 mm depending on the water level
• The sealant must be fully cured, curing time up to 1 week before it can be transported or filled with water
• After curing, rinse the aquarium several times with water before use

Surface Preparations and Finishing:

• Application temperature +5 to + 40 Degree Celsius
• All substrates must be solid, clean, dry and free of grease and dust
• Always test adhesion prior to application
• Zwaluw Aqua-Silicone adheres perfectly without the use of primer to most non porous substrates
• Porous substrates to be pre-treated with Zwaluw Primer B1

Paintability:

• Zwaluw Aqua-Silicone is not paintable
